Flaming again? hmm maybe no one ever comes on the forum anymore because of the amount of flames by you. I did not direct any posts at you in this thread. You need to go out more, instead of spending your life here flaming and destroying this place. I dont think it would be possible to search the whole forum for a post where you dont start an argument. I cant understand the admins keeping you here, neverside might be dead but the only reason for this is down to people like yourself who just post crap and flame others. Within this post, and the small title under your name, you have just broken a number of forum rules. Also out of these topics like off topic posting. But sadly I dont enforce these rules and I am doubtful anyone will remove you and your input to the forum. The running of this community is a waste of money if you are not enforcing your rules and sanctions to members who break the fules.
Anyway back to the topic at hand, try reinstall the drivers go back into DXDIAG and check again. If there is still an error I would recomend trying a cheap PCMCIA sound card.

the laptop is not even a year old, i tried the head phones and no sound.
Im puzzled though as to why it played the music in the test and nothing else?
Will any reinstalling lose things saved on my computer?
How do you find out what is my motherboard?

You should call around to some computer shops, man. It won't be that expensive.

i think that is the way to go, my husband said he would get one of his mates that is into computers to have a look but they killed my old old computer when that played up so their banned from evening looking at the thing.
