Whats better LCD or Plasma? ___________________ Lies In terms of how long the product will remain functioning, LCD. ___________________ Unless you plan on sitting 4" from the TV and analysing every single pixel on the display you see almost no difference between a modern LCD TV compared to a modern Plasma TV. Buy whichever has the most input sources, is the right size, and the right price for you, ___________________ angelessme, antagonising neverside members, staff and administration since 2001. LCD, but buy it in person because I've seen LCD's that suck and plasmas that where great and vise versa. ___________________ People without self-doubt scare me.
I can't stand LCD's for one simple fact: The worst off-axis viewing in the world. Granted they have gotten better in this area, but you have to pay more for the better ones. Plasma's you can view from any angle and it will look just as good. I have a 50" plasma, and have had nothing but fun with it. Plasma's are a great choice. ___________________ I don't suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it.

___________________ Agreed, Sykil. My mom's 40" Samsung HDTV looks great from most angles. You're most likely not going to be looking at the screen from a 15 degree angle, so viewing angle is negligible. ___________________ Yeah, I dunno about you guys but I get pissed when I can't view my show when I'm directly off to the side of it, long live plasma. Haha, jk. I prefer both, depends on the use. Living room... Plasma... My bedroom a nice 32" LCD HDTV because it's directly in front of my bed and I view it just as crisp and clear as anything. Plasma I can hang though, hence it's place in the living room. I'm a minimalistic freak ___________________ |
