Saving Pic And Clearing Background

after hours of farting around for hours trying to clear a background from a picture without little shakey hands & a crap mouse interfering with the edges, i finally giving in and have been defeated !

ok here is what i wanted - the following images to be solely by themselves..no background what so ever , no white no nothing.
i have used that crap windows xp paint shop & i also have Corel Paintshop Pro - it maybe
a stupid question, but is there a way of a prog reconizing the pic and background differantly so one does'nt have to throw mouse around the edges ( co's obviously i can't successfully)

Programs can have tools that make it easier for recognizing the object's edges, but there's absolutely no way that a program will know by itself what is the background and what is the subject.
