128-bit and 256-bit?

Okay, so I'm stuck, because of financial reasons, with only being able to upgrade my video card instead overhauling the whole system. Anyways, this system is a few years old, so the video card is stuck to being AGP 4X/8X. I was looking at these two cards:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814130274

and

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814130076

The cards are identical, except one's "memory interface" is 128-bit and one is 256-bit. My question is whether or not my motherboard could be incompatible with the 256-bit one. I would like to obviously go for the more powerful card, but I am not sure that my computer can handle the 256-bit card. Can anyone solve this dilemma for me? I don't really know much about this computer, since it is a prebuilt, but I might be able to find some information for you if you need it, so please help.

its the memory interface on the card, has nothing to do with your mobo, the 256 interface is better.. but im not really sure that agp8x can push data at a high enough rate for it to matter.

I'm in a similiar situation, I have an slightly older comp with AGP which I would want to upgrade. Is there any chance of playing recent-ish games on it?

Nvidia will be releasing some direct x 10 agb cards shortly. I would wait I dont think it iwll be any longer than 1 month.

the x1950pro comes on AGP and will play most recent games very well, that said it has no dx10 support.

I haven't heard anything about dx10 agp cards from nvidia, and i find it unlikely we'll see many of them, especially at the top end where the sheer volume of data moving too and from the card would be so high it would completely saturate an agp bus.

yeah, I figured if the dx10 models did come out soon, they would be more than I'm willing to pay for them. I just went with the 256-bit model, it should be here tomorrow or the next day. I couldn't restrain myself for 1 whole month.

Another question: are you guys saying that AGP 8X doesn't even have the power or bus speed to provide decent graphics? Because it would suck if I just ordered $200 graphics card and I can't even run my games on high settings.
