question about flash

so my dad really wants me to ask you guys, even though his question seems kinda vague, so here goes:

while he's watchign stuff in the you-tube style flash video player things, it'll disconnect at times and he'll get error messages that say something like adobe flash error 9a. so basically, he wants to know what the problem might be.

just in case:
windows xp w/sp2
using the new IE with teh tabs and all
512mb ram

to me, it sounds extremely vague, but i had to ask

It could be a problem with a firewall you have e.g. a router that blocks some o the packets because it finds them suspicious and it times out. Or it could be just a dodgy install. If you installed it before you installed IE 7 there could be an issue. Uninstall it and install it.

Use firefox or just reinstall the browser or the flash player.
