Why would we wait until we're 28? By then, I'll barely have any time left before I won't want to have kids 'cause I don't want to risk birth defects due to my own overmaturity. That and the fact that who the **** waits 9 years after their engagement to get married? If you're engaged for more than 3 years, there's a problem.

What's the rush? There is none. That's why we're not eloping, we're planning a wedding and going to be living together in the process. Age ain't nothin' but a numba, and don't you forget it. He and I both have growing up to do, but who says it'll be finished by the time we're 28? Or 38? Or ever? In fact, isn't life about personal growth ALWAYS? That's how I live my life.

Why even post that you're getting married on NS if you're going to be so defensive?

Waiting to 28 is one's suggestion. Just nod your head and move on. You don't have to be so extremely defensive.

That said, 28 is NOT approaching too old to give birth. My mom was 30 when I was born, and I have a lot of friends whose moms were well over 30 ... including one of my friends whose early marriage has bit the dust. *shrug*
