I was in a detention cell for about 15 minutes once.

Spent three nights in jail for threatening to kill someone over AIM.

[Edit] It would have been a week in jail, and THEN court. My mom bailed me out on the fourth day 'cause I said one of the kids threatened to rape me (no joke).

I must be a lucky guy, my hobbies include bringing down the AIM networks using trusty old porn.txt (of course it could have been so that their networks simply went out for other reasons, but I find that highly unlikely) and getting suspended for cooking evil plans against the white house with my infiltrated Americano-buddies across their IM service.

Who's that outside of my window? Why is he looking at me funny? :'(

I've threatened to kill many people on there, never been locked up for it!

Arrested and detained for three hours. Boring as hell as I sat by myself most of the time. The best part was the ride in the cop car, the fat cop spent the whole time listing all the insane things he's found hidden in the backseat of the car before they replaced it with a hard chunk of plastic. Most uncomfortable.

Then he wished me a happy holidays before they locked me up. Funny thing was, he was genuinely nice and meant it.

The kicker: I was a pothead, had stolen thousands in merch from various places, and had a past with several misdemeanors for different trivial things...and I was called to the sheriff's dept for some paperwork regarding an issue with a bad check and they had an outstanding warrant for my arrest over...get this...an unpaid $5 parking ticket.

Best part: I had the money sitting in my vehicle in their parking lot but they had to detain and transport me. Could have walked out with a cop, gotten cash and went home, but nope. Needless to say I didn't send donuts for christmas.

That was years ago. I'm now a fine upstanding businessman with a nice tree in my yard and a shrinking global footprint. Go figure.

Never been busted. Somehow the excuse "Listen officer, I never had to go through this before, so I'm just a little freaked out" always seemed to work, no questions were asked after that. Iunno, maybe its the cops around here or something. Or maybe Im just lucky... Lucky Villain?

Apparently the kid was so totally freaked out, like he thought every noise outside was me coming to kill him.

And apparently in New York it's illegal to threaten someone's life.
