I was just about to post that same article. Once they seize the computer, and they have the evidence, there's nothing you can do. Sounds like you're going in the slammer.

What you said, Ballison, doesn't correspond with what the attitude they had in this artcle. The kid in the article was a minor too, and he almost got 90 years in jail. The kid was going to live his whole life in jail just for 9 pictures.

Only thanks to the freak miracle that a backdoor was found on his comp, he was spared. But even then they were going to label him a sex offender for life. (in the end they reconsidered, but it was a close call)

I used to be a Photo Specialist at Walgreens and if we ever saw anything that looked like child pornagraphy we had to call a manager over to confirm and then the police. One time this guy left his SD card for me to "Print 1 of each!". We weren't supposed to do it for him but he'd come in a lot and I was bored. Even though on the computer there was an option to print 1 of each without previewing the pictures, when they printed out I checked them to make sure they came out alright. The dude had naked pics of a teen getting boned. Like, it was POV. Turns out it was his son using his dad's camera when he fucked his g/f. I don't know what happened to the guy but we never saw him again to develop pictures.

So, I'm sure Compaq or any other depo center out there has strict policies that if they see child pornography to contact a supervisor and/or police.
