Camera Time, Oo Ya!

So we went to WWF last night and I took my mom's Kodak digital camera. I must say, I've never been more disappointed in my life. I have a bunch of money coming in so I want to buy a new digital camera, one that wont take incredibly dim shots when there's a hint of darkness. I don't know a ton about cameras, but I do know I wanna get one from Best Buy most likely since I work there and can get my discount on it. I'm gonna look around and post what I think is a good camera too, but any recommendations for a great point and shoot camera that doesn't take a crappy pic when I want really good ones are great appreciated!

Just play around w/ your brightness settings in photoshop.

But I don't want to do that with every photo I take.

Panasonic Lumix DMC FX50, i got one of those and it hasnt dissapointed me yet. I dont know if Best Buy has them yet or not.
