Gears of War.

Has anybody else got/ played the game that makes spending that small fortune on the 360 worth it?

I bought a 360 for the sole reason of playing Gears of War, and it was worth it.

All of my friends on Xbox live play the game, I'm stuck on Halo 2. It's a good place to be stuck but I'll admit that I wish I had a 360. My reason to be any game console is the games. My console will be an Xbox 360 and my game will be Halo 3.

Well, my cousin bought the Wii at launch and my friend at work bought a PS3 at launch. (He called in sick to do it, shhh!) Now that I've tried them both out, I musts say that I was totally underwhelmed by the Wii. And the PS3 seemed pretty decent but I honestly couldn't notice a difference graphics wise from the 360. So guess what I bought today, a 360. Gears of War is awesome and I'm glad I got one.

I'm going to be getting a 360 in Feb of 2007. Specifically for Gears of War, Halo 3 demo, Halo RTS game and Grand Theft Auto. Oh, and the HD DVD add on will be nice too.

Samurai, what was bad about the Wii?

I love it! Soo amazingly good.
In my eyes its on par with Oblivion, even if the ranked multiplayer is non-team based.

I haven't played single player GoW but online is totally retarded. The main tactic in the multiplayer is to stick a grenade on another person. At least that is what the morons do and as we all know from XBL + Halo 2 thats the recipe for a good time.

Anyways, GoW online is fun when you find people to play with that disable grenades and/or the spawning super weapon.
