The "wiped off the map" quote is the most misinterpreted comment by a political leader in recent years. The sad part is that it's being deliberately taken out of context to rally support against Iran; to "legitimize" a future invasion. To put it simply, Ahmadinejad stated that the current Israeli regime (the government) will someday come to an end. He did not call for the genocide of all Jews living in that part of the world, contrary to what our wonderful impartial media has been shoving down our throats. If that were really his intent, why hasn't he gone after the 40,000 Jews in Iran?

If he's got half a brain, and I'm sure he dose, then anyone who has any intent on exterminating a people knows that in the world as it is today with all lights on you, you don't do something that will give your enemies an example of what you will do. You do it in one big swoop while your enemies are still debating over whether or not your bluffing.

That being said, the rest of your argument was, if true, great.

Okay, hydro! I thought that line was a bit bold. An invasion statement? Do you have a link to the ideal you're stating. It sounds much more realistic then this nyt writers. thanks.
