If people really want to critique Islam, they should do so based on it's teachings and belief systems, but they should not judge the religion based on the actions of certain Muslims. To answer the question, there is no truth whatsoever to thinking Islam is evil. The only Muslims in the history of humanity that truly represent this faith are the great prophets --- Jesus, Moses, Joseph, Noah, Muhammad, etc.

The qualities of life here and in Muslim countries are miles apart.
And one of the main differences is religion and the values it shows the people.

We have extremists here too (all them Jesus Freaks) BUT we don't let them act out their extremism in the same way Muslim extremist act out their's.
