Active X Desktop

Hey Everyone,
A friend of mine is looking to customize his whole desktop wallpaper and I remember a while ago I believe darcy posted a tutorial on how to do it. I was wondering if that link is still around so I can pass it along to him..thanks

I remember what your talking about, I searched for it about a year ago.. Unfortunatly even back then the files that were used in the post were gone from the server.. I did however get them some other way, I cant quite remember how, but i believe that I lost them again... not much help I know!!

From what I can remember it just used a html page on your computer as the background, and then you just used javascript within the html page to do cool things like a built in notepad, hyperlinks to optical drives etc etc.

yeh, it was like an html page with css and stuff and then you put that in folder titled somethign if forgot and you put the background image int hat folder and you select that as your background and you just edit the html files for links and etc. i haven't done it in liek 3 years though.

ahh. so i found this program WebDesktop to do it wtih macs, but its basically an app with the opaqueness turned down. so its not the same.
but like in the Apple stores they have a little ovval shaped figure wtiha picture of 3 things that link to stuff.
