I'd go for the iiyama one, manly because its only about 20 quid between models after V.A.T. Also the 5ms repsonse rate is better than the samsungs, bigger screen, and it's a good brand which it's crt monitors are rock solid and I've never had a problem with the one I've got on another machine, and a the 22" crt plundered from work seems to be fine despite being in a no so caring environment. It's also got a lower power consumption and a greater contrast ratio.

LOl the link changed origonally the samsung was a 20.1" 1 with a resolution of 1600x1200 rather than the 22" Iiyama with the 1680x1050. hmm I really don no what to do, I could get a 20.1" with the same resolution as the 22", that should look better in pixel size.

Get the Iiyama. Alternatively, go buy a Dell instead - I'd be prepared to pay the premium price for a Dell over any other monitor brand.

Dell prices are hardly a premium anymore, they have some of the best quality panels in that price bracket when you look at quality vs size vs cost.

I thought of this but it has 16ms response time so not exactly the best for games.

How often is your real ping below 16ms?
Think about it.
To be fair, you're not going to get lower than 10ms with a standard DSL connection, in which case, who cares about 6ms ?

if you are goin hardcore on gaming, you should go for a HD ready monitor personally. like this monitor here:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824112002
has a 8ms response time which is about perfect but i doubt you'll see a difference with a 5ms and 8ms.
go for this one if you want a 5ms response time

Hd isn't that fantastic for pc's. It just the resolution that makes it amazingly good on the TV. but standard RGB and DVI both support higher resolutions than it. I have decided and im going to get this 1.
