My friend called me up on friday and asked if i wanted to come over for the Wii launch, I wasn't sure if i wanted to stand in line for hours so he could get one (don't have the cash for it myself atm) but it turned out be a fun experiance. I played ff12 at his house before we left saturday. We got at walmart around 1pm and they had a list out where they had 32 slots, you signed in and then waited. They did rollcall every few hours and when the list finally got to 40 people they took it down. It was suprisingly a fun time, there wasn't a line persay just alot of soft chairs in the garden center where people sat around. We and about 10 other people ordered pizza and soda and had a lan-ish party with the DS and Mario. :P

However i don't quite get it, Why do people insist(including my friend) on having one the same day it gets released, it will still be the same price and the same system months down the line, and by then more games will be out and you can then fully decide if its worth it. what makes people do such harm to each other when there will always be more comming out?? it's beyond me :/

i think of the same thing my friend. me and my friend just agreed to wait a month or so later to get the wii and until then save up our money to get a couple of games with it. but thats just us.
