Why do you tell Jordan not to true when you troll yourself?

I wasn't being sarcastic. Remembrance day and or veterans day I have no clue about. History was my 2nd worst subject I dunno why.

Wear them both. There is no real argument against either symbol, and they should complement each other.

Yes, Advocation, it is 11:11 am, and 2 mins here as well. The tv event probably began at 11 am. Several of my neighbours watched it on tv.
I think as long as the people for whom this event represents are acknowledged on this day, it doesnt matter how one observes it.
Since other people are talking and we are listening, we are basically, silent...LOL
Yes, it's a fad at present which they hope to turn into a national event, possibly a international event, celebrated on Armitice/Rememberance Day.
It began here in Canada this year, so it hasnt surfaced south of the board or abroad, yet.

the dove is a symbol of peace? .... is that like a Noah thing?
the white flag?.... i thought that meant 'surrender'.
i dont know....i've was taught the symbol of peace is humanity. its flag is dark brown to beige, (representing all skin colours).

Thanks for the article. Lots of world celebrations.

Oh yes, Art!! long live Jimi Hendrix!

Good stuff, Orkeau! Yes all our schools acknowledged the event fully on Friday, and the kids were learning about it through the week.
A 21 gun salute..a military honor...seems out of character for a regular school to do though.

Oh my, Hello Moto! You failed History! What was the other worst?

Thanks for that link, Art!

Thats what i associate with peace.. Thats the flag that I have allways seen waving, that and a rainbow with a dove and a olive branch (similar to http://peace.mennolink.org/resources/clipart/doveolive.gif ) at the marches that i've been to.. (only 2 mind!)

Yeah, the white flag does symbol 'surrender'. But i also thought that it meant surrender.. That might be my mistake though!!

Oh yeah, the wikipedia page for peace http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peace has the Dove with the olive branch as a symbol for peace..

P.S. Nice to see a return of the smileys Grin

Right, so this dove comes from the Noah story then?
Is that the international symbol for peace as well?
Cause i thought that was the christian religious symbol for peace.
