Thank god someone still has the balls to say the word Chirstmas... Since when did that word become a fucking bad word? Oh, it was the president last year that sent a greeting card that said happy holidays instead of merry christmas like it had been all the times before...

yeah!!!, it became an epidemic, really. It was getting rather difficult to maintain. All our life we've said Merry Christmas and then suddenly were told its against 'the law' to say it. Many people had difficulty changing from the normal. We were told its 'against other religions' to say it as such as one year there were like 3 major religious holiday all at once.
I find it odd that any of us are told how to greet people during any holiday. And for our gov. to send out a memo basically ordering us to change the greeting was totally ignorant.
We were also told at the same time 'respect minorities', like that wasn't a given, and many of us noticed that they don't need to respect us. Se' la vie'.
How long will this resurrection last...till another religious group complains.
Lets all move to China!!!! China ROCKS!!!!

Christmas is a national holiday.

that's like not being able to say happy easter. Easter is a national holiday. Or happy columbus day, another national holiday.

if its a national holiday, i'm saying happy ____.

now if i were in siberia or something and they don't have christmas, then its different, then i could be breaking their law. but its not, its america, where we like christmas.

update: at work we have been told the greeting this year is ' Season's Greetings ' or 'Happy Holidays'.

I don't have a problem saying Merry Christmas ON Christmas Day. Its saying it all December that gets me. Its not Christmas ALL December....

I'm a supporter of Happy Holidays because its a catch all. Christmas is not the only holiday being celebrated in the month of December.

I'm Agnostic for the record and I personally don't celebrate Christmas. BUT, on the 25th of December I wish the loved ones closest to me a Merry Christmas. The rest of the year I say Happy Holidays.

When I worked at the mall we weren't allowed to say Merry Christmas to anyone, only happy holidays. I said it either way, it made people happy. Happy Holidays wasn't what people wanted to hear.
