Dont want 2 xbox's because they cant play crysis like this can. Crysis isn't even full DX10. :P

What does Crysis being full DX10 have to do with anything?

Its not going to need as much power to be played as a full DX10 Game would. And if the xbox and ps3 cant even play it with everything set to the highest setting then whats the point of getting and xbox or ps3.

chris5050, I doubt you, personally, even notice the difference.
Enjoy spending 2000+ on a machine!

You can tell though because the difference between partial dx10 and full dx 10 games is quite significant.

and you know because a full dx10 game and partial dx10 game are there sitting on your hd and you've done a comparison with the hardware you have, which you've stated isnt upto the job of playing a partial dx10 or a dx10 game?
Edit, oh, and just incase, the visual jump from dx9 to 10 will not big as big as the dx8 -> dx9 was, mainly due to dx 9 was the first widespread use of shaders and such compared to previous versions, dx10 is only a small improvment in that sense.

How it works is under the PCI-Express standard, you can have 75 Watts of power through the PCI-E Connector, and an addional 75 Watts through the PCI-E power cable. This totals 150 Watts. Well, the 8800 uses between 150-190 Watts of power. So, in order to follow the standards of PCI-Express to the letter, NVidia added a second power connector. While in reality most PSU's will support sending over 75 Watts through the power cable, so just one cable should be able to run it. (I'm pretty sure I got those numbers right, but either way the concept is the same)
And just for a mention, the high-end ATI Cards use over 150 Watts, and they only have one power connector. So they aren't technically using the PCI-E standards. Not that it really matters, cause they work anyway.
