colourize in illusrator?
i did a search for colorize, but it didn't return what i'm looking for....
is there anyway i can do something like photoshop's hue/saturation+colourize to something in illustrator? i have this self portrait vector i did back in the spring i want to make use of in my new portoflio design, and i want to colourize it. someone suggested illustrator's filter options, but it won't apply filters to the gradients (and i used a lot).
i'd like to try and keep it as vector so i can import it into flash with aa little quality loss/file bloating as possible.
i'm using cs if it helps.

it doesn't colourize. as far as i can tell, none of ilustrators colour filters will apply to gradients - it makes sense.
the solution i found is to create a new layer, create a square that covers the artwork, set the blending mode to colour, then apply a clipping mask of the artwork outline.
it worked how i wanted, but the piece was still too intricate to export into flash as a vector object.
