___________________ Hilarious. People can totally twist a question and reply with a useless answer. Look at the poll. Gosh. And then you have people like Simon that try to make things complicated, even though he is "right"... So let's keep it simple shall we? Black on white is easier on the eyes then white on black.
Fucking racist.
... I was just trying to help here. I was simply explaining that there is no right or wrong answer on this question (by pointing out some random things that can make the answer different, attempting to not cover the most obvious one of personal preference) followed by my personal preference which I use for IRC. I can't answer the poll, thus I don't use it. And I know that, unless this is some really strange IRC application, my suggestion should be an valid option too even though he might not consider it (as it might not suit him, as with any other answer here). There is no need to pick a side just because you can. I have a standard of providing reasons or thoughts behind my opinions, anyone with an average reading capacity should be able to pick out the answer (in this case, I prefer white on blue) and ignore the rest, if they feel like it. This is a bit far fetched, but, if someone made a poll asking how tall you all were, to figure out his own length, and someone gave a slight nod in the direction of a measuring stick explaining that no "average answer" will give him "the right" answer, that he should find out his own length using that stick rather than the average answer he might get. Would that be so bad? If the person in question does provide an answer regarding his length, even though he thinks it's irrelevant, then I just don't see the problem with it (besides being a few lines longer than your average "lol" post). ___________________ Neversidian, your staff is broken. An accessibility study once pointed out that dark blue on light yellow is the easiest... The inverse, yellow on dark blue is also pretty ace... |
