TextPattern ftw! It's easy as hell to work with as far as design goes, and gets the job done.

Seriously though, don't let the WP-whores blind you, they did blind me for a while. But WP is in fact evil, and should be frowned upon by the pure and selected ones.

A few days ago, I set up txp, and it's damn nice. It's so easy to manage content and skins/theming. <3 I used to use WP for a while (just for a blog) and txp is much better. Grin
I easily made a little photography page as well. Smile

imo, wp's theming system sucks. It was weird and I never bothered to code my wp after upgrading to 1.5. txp makes it a lot easier Smile

Is there a reason why Textpattern isn't on the list? I love Textpattern, and everyone knows that I'm the only who ever is correct around here.

I myself prefer my own backend. I've been thinking about releasing it for some time so other developers have as solid a foundation as I do when making sites : )

Textpattern is nice, and extremely fast, good cms, but if I were to only need a blog, id use wordpress, just because of the amount of plug ins and themes.

I used to use mambo, but I found it to be buggy as hell, so I moved to Joomla and although there are still some bugs here and there, it's a relatively solid system. I love the massive expandability and community that supports Joomla. Setting up an e-commerce site couldn't be easier!

The only thing I DONT like about joomla/mambo, is how confusing it seems to put together a custom template. I looked up a few tutorials on doing so, but I got frustrated quickly Sad

I hope to figure it out one day though, so I can use it for my own site designs...
