Exporting colour change
I do some web/graphic design from time to time, so often have to export my psds to jpg to show a client or to be displayed on the web. When i export them the colours of the image become faded and greyer. Why does this happen, and is there any way to stop it?

Only thing I can think of would be you having your JPEG compression ridiculously low. File -> Save as Web, knock quality up to 70 or 80.
Ok that was kind of a no-brainer. Could you post a sample PSD? Are you using RGB mode? Any weird color profiles? Some of that's a bit over my head but I'll help if I can.

Looking at it again, i'm not too sure the problem lies in the exporting, because when i open the exported jpg back into photoshop, rather than just in windows picture viewer (or preview on OS X) the colours appear normal. I opened the original psd in imageready and the colours are faded.
So it looks like it's my photoshop that is displaying the colours wrong, so the ones i have chosen do not look how i thought they did, if that makes sense. :/
If i can't figure out how to fix it i'll be ok as i should be upgrading to OS X when they release a universal version, so that would probabally fix it.

Now that you mention it I've seen some of this too. I do newspaper design; there's definitely a difference between how it looks in PS and Quark. Bah. If I figure out some way to keep it consistent I'll definitely let you know.
