i need some help on this effect

hi guys

this is my first post and i really need some help for my project

i want to know how to do that kind of texture used in the background. if you see any free seamless textures similar to the background, i would appreciate it if you could post the link.

also i'd like to know how to do the lighting effect surrounding the logo. ive tried the brush tool (manually) and the result wasnt neat.

The texture on the background looks slightly simular to the carbon fiber texture you can find here http://www.freepsd.com/article_view/18/38/

To get the lighting effect surrounding the logo you can use: "Filter" -> "Render" -> "Lighting effects".. and then select "Omni" as your "light type"

Edit: When using the carbon fiber texture, you have to have it on a seperate layer and lower the opacity a little for the blue background to shine trough. And apply the lighting effects to the layer with the texture.
