I'm curious to what you'll be doing at college advocation, as I've found that laptops aren't really needed for a-levels (We did try, but there was no point, using a USB stick was much easier, plus it means there's an extra couple of copies), and for the HND Computing course I'm doing, only one person brought their laptop, and that was only because it was their only computer (He was a german student living on campus, he other comps were back in Germany).

But, if you're gonna take it, get a rucksack with a laptop pouch, it's much easier to carry it around.

well, this year is my last at college, and i will be finishing off my National Diploma in IT, but i wont really be using it for that. Basically i have ideas for several web app projects that i want to build, and i have many sites that i am working on, and i am simply not able to do that on the camput PC's because of lack of software and the many restrictions that they have put in place (no ftp for example).
So i'm getting this so that i can work on my projects and sites etc in my free time, while at college.

Also, I expect that it will replace my main desktop at home, and i'm quite probably moving to norway next year for university, so i will therfore be getting it for that.

Oh yeah, i will be doing alot of traveling to and from norway this year so it will be usefull to be able to work on stuff while over there Smile

Hope that answers any questions!

And yeah, i have thought about getting another bag with a laptop pouch in it but as i said in my first post i was trying to find a solution to keep my current bag!

Thanks guys!

tell me the dimensons of the laptop and i'll crochet you one.

seriously, i crocheted a case for my camera, everyone loves it.

Oh, and what color yarn. Preferably just one color, it'll go faster if i'm not changing yarn.

It might not look as fancy as the other one, but I can crochet some good stuff Smile

My aunt crocheted me a case for my DS Lite and it's awesome. Grin
Gotta add a button to it though (to close the cover).

In england we have a different education structure, we have Primary School (what american's call Kindergarten), Then we have First School (Dunno what the american's call it), Then Secondry School (Again, dont know what the american's call it), and then we have College, which the american's call high school. After College we have university, which i believe the american's call College...

I may be wrong with this!
