Scaling 3d effects in illustrator
Hi guys,
I created a shape in illustrator and applied the 3d effect to it (rotate, persepctive etc).
I finally got it to a point where I am happy with it, but I want to make it smaller.
When I try to scale proportionally, the 3d effects go all wonky. It does not preserve the exact perspective and rotations as the original, but the values in the settings are the same.
I have tried with and without the scale strokes and effects option.
Any ideas?
Cheers!

If you won't make any more changes to the effect then go to Object - Expand and then try to scale it.

Thanks that works!
Is there anyway to *undo* the expand?
Thanks!

No.
What you could do is either:
a) make a copy of the object before using the expand command;
b) save the shape as a symbol so that you can later apply the effect again (you'll need to "break" the symbol before applying an effect);
c) try to work with the initial shape at the final size you want it to be and only then apply the effect.
