Illustrator poster size issue

When I tried to create a new poster today with the size of 600cm width by 150cm height, I was limited stopped by the program.

The error msg popped up and says that the max size by width is only 577.9557cm , and there I was, stunned by the message, and not knowing what else to do.

A friend of mine suggested CorelDraw instead, but honestly, i'm not that enthuastic to learn another program. Is there something else I can do with Illustrator to max the size limitation?

Any suggestions are much appreciated.

..It's Illustrator. It's a vector program. You can make it any size now and blow it up later.

You don't have to create the file using the final dimensions. Usually very large works are worked on scale, such as 50% of the original.
