Hi,

I'm a newbie to Photoshop and made the dashed line tutorial. To create the line was easy! I created a 1px white 2px black and 1px white dashed line. No problem there. Next thing I tried was to fill a selection with this dashed line. I created a 150x20 px document and selected (using the rectangular marquee tool) a line of 130 px by 1 px. The line starts at 10 px. I filled it with the pattern but noticed that in the selection the first dash was not white but black and it was only half of the width (1px). If I select an area of 130px by 1px starting at 0 px the fill is correct. I also noticed that the 3rd dash starts at pixel 9 which explains why I have a half dash at the beginning of the selection that starts at 10 px. How can I make the pattern start at the beginning of the selection and not on the left side of the document?

Thanks a lot

Jan
