I'll give you my opinion, but dont be mad.
The design looks like it a php template, those content boxes and all dont look to good looks like a few years back when everyone was still going for that.
The top navigation the links are hard to read I mean you can tell what it is but its not realy clean and easy on the eyes.
Overall the design is nothin special for me sorry the colours and design just dont do it, but hey it's your thing, you might be just starting so it's still good.

In my opinion, you've got flaws in the design, but only for the navigation/banner. The navigation is either too small to fit in that wide of a box, or the box is too wide. I'd probably decide both, and maybe make the font a bit more readable typeface and shorten the width of the nav box so you have more room for the content. People don't like to scroll down to get their content, and I noticed on the characters page you can only see the top 2 characters, maybe spanning them horizontally instead of vertically and removing the adaware links, and maybe add them to the top where the other adware is... If the web site is good enough, it will sell itself, the last thing to think about is advertisements that have nothing to do with the site, so you did good with the google adaware. to the banner, and also some of the pictures, they are distorted. Pixelized, ugly. Get some good photos online and keep them the size they are supposed to be, only resize them if they are too big. Image distortion comes when making something bigger, unless it's a vector graphic.
Oh and one final thing, there is absolutely no need for the top navigation as it's repetitive and may confure your target audience. Other than that, it looks good, and has potential to become a great website.
