E3 2006

What are your thoughts on this if you managed to catch any coverage on it. I know most major gaming sites had coverage on the event. For those that don't know (and I would have to imagine that many don't), E3 stands for Electronics Entertainment Expo. This is where the biggest of the big of the gaming industry come to show off new titles, hardware, software, etc. Also, small, upcoming companies go there to get noticed if possible. This is one event that I am definately going to check out when I take my game there in 2008.

But back to the question...What did everyone think? Who came out on top and what was the thing you liked most?

It seems that Nintendo Wii is pretty hyped up. I am just wondering how this is gonna effect PS 3 sales and consequently its success, since it is pretty late compared to xbox 360 and will cost about xbox360 + 1.5 Wiis. Right now I don't like Sony's attitude and their marketing strategy - if it exists - (looks like they are relying on brand name for sales) but I don't want PS 3 to be a failure either. There are many good games out there for PS/2.

seems to be very hardware based to far, unfortunatly the games i realy want, havnt been given much coverage.

allthough this does mean there concentrating more on the actual game, than trailers.

I really dislike how shamelessly Sony ripped Nintendo's idea, but the Wii's definitely got the upper hand anyhow. I still want it to do better than the 360---anything could be better than the 360.

Sony is gonna do whatever it can to stay ahead or with the competition Sykil...you know that! But it just goes to show you that Nintendo is ahead of the pack at the moment in terms of innovation. I'll have to play the PS3 and Xbox 360 head-to-head to give a better comparison but at the moment, the 360 is a great machine. I love the controller and the interface is great...
