Ringpull:

Quote:

a tongue of metal with a ring attached to it, which when pulled breaks a seal and opens a can or similar container.

Basically the little thing you pull that is often found on top of cans of drink.

But my real name, if that's what I'm really called:
Carl
I can't find a decent defintion. I like to think it means a really cool dude - I live up to it.

Eugene

From the Greek name Eugenios which was derived from the Greek word eugenes meaning "well born"; "good, well"; (genes) "born". This was the name of several saints and four popes. BabyNames.com
Jodi derived from Johanna meaning "God Is Gracious"

BehindTheName.com
Jodi is the Western feminine variant of the name Judith.

My thoughts.... the name Jodi means more to me for the reason in which I was named it rather than some ancient mumbo jumbo people associated with the name in previous civilizations and/or from religions that I don't even believe in.

My mom gave me the name Jodi because it was the name of her babysitter when she was a little girl & she stayed friends with until 2 weeks before I was born she was killed in a car accident. Mom gave me her name Jodi Lee in memory of her friend & the wonderful person she was & the influence she had on my moms life.

That has more meaning to me than any of the biblical BS I read when I look up my name Smile

Christopher:
"Christ-bearer"
Means "bearing Christ", derived from Late Greek Χριστος (Christos) combined with φερω (phero) "to bear, to carry". Christopher was the legendary saint who carried the young Jesus across a river. He is the patron saint of travellers. Another famous bearer was Christopher Columbus, the explorer who reached the West Indies in the 15th century.

Ahhh hell, For an un religious person, thats a big let-down.
