ah cool, i was thinking of doing architecture. I looked around a bit and some of the greek frats are international. frats (from what i found on wikipedia) exist in Europe and Canada, and Australia and South Africa as well, but i think Greek naming schemes are only used in the Philippines and Canada outside the US.

Bachelor of Laws here is 4 years by itself (in the US you have to do a Juris Doctor degree which is post graduate, and can be undertaken by anyone with an undergraduate degree (about 6 years total then) at oxford and Cambridge a BA in law has to be completed first and then a post graduate law degree can be undertaken, although other universities in the UK are more similar to the system we have here: just one undergraduate degree of law). But I'm going to be attempting several degrees simultaneously. At some point though i want to go somewhere else. Eventually i want to get a master of laws, and an MBA at another Uni (Harvard for the MBA probably)

We're (Sigma Chi) international. We have a few chapters in canada. SigEp is medium size around here I think. 40-60, if I had to guess. I prefer slightly smaller size chapters, I think we're at 67. Biggest frat on our campus is maybe 100 (delts, I think). Sororities are bigger as a rule

Who's your brother hooker? I might've shared a beer or two with him...Tongue

But ya, not too many people come to college and haven't drank a beer at least before.

i'm with you on that one...i'd rather just kinda do stuff with a few friends than a whole bunch of random people i don't know/care about...

as for me i'm going to ITT and working full-time, so i don't really have time to party anyways, lol...

Touche sire! Getting involved in clubs and organizations are essential for surviving college. Also, once you're about a week or so in, you might want to set up study groups with friends or people who are interested in the same things as you are so that you can help each other make it through....wish I did that Sad

And yes, university is great. I didn't think that was necessary to point out, or start a thread about; most (read: all) people know that.

Me too. Smile

Well uh, I'm not worry about college just yet....

But I have applied to Phillips Exeter Academy (www.exeter.edu) for highschool. They're one of the top ranking schools in the world, and I live 20 minutes away (I would still board). Smile

I find out if I'm in or not March 10-15. God I hope I got in...

What I have going for me: 99 Percentile on the SSAT, 1st place in every XC race, got recommendations from the CS teacher and the XC coach there.

What's bad: I need financial aid (that's the biggest obstacle), 3 other people in my school got 99's....what the ****? It should be one in every five schools.
