[Help] - Selections
Hello guys first post here and it is one that I need ansered as the technique I used to use to work in PS is now gone with the new version.
Okay I will try and explain and hopefully someone can help me out, cause it is getting very frustrating.
In previous versions of PS when I would shift+ click on a layer it woud put a selection around that specific graphic in my art work. Now in the new version of PS when I shift and click it doesn't do that. Mainly because of the new feature of selecting and working with multiple layers. I need to know how I can select specific layer images, because I used to do it alot to where I would create something in lets say layer 1 and then like 2 maybe 3 layers later I would need to have that selection again and woudl jsut shift+click. Yeah I know I can save a selection, but doing the shift+click was jsut effeicitn for me and thats the way I like to work. SO I am wondering if there is a new hotkey to make a selection by layer. Thanks guys for your time.

i dont know about that one...because for as long as i can remeber i have been using Ctrl+Click I hope thats what u wanted

Hmmm maybe it was ctrl+click lol now I am not sure, I don't have PS installed right at the moment cause I lost a hdd and had to buy a new one. I guess I will have to refer to this post at a later date when I get PS installed and know what I am talking about...man I feel dumb now lol. Any wyas what I am talking about doesn't work in CS2 but did in previous versions;.

Uh huh Fusion's right, it's control+click. I doubt that would change for CS2..

okay guys thanks for the responses, I am going to try and get around to installing CS this week sometime and I will update you guys. I am prolly wrong, which is noobish of me, but hey call me a noob then

Oh yeah BTW sparky that used to be my name after I got hit by lightning in the Army so we have a common interest with the name...woooo whooo yeah we are cool...yeah yeah we are cool
