"drawing" a line

Hey everyone,

Basically what I want to do is "draw" an image in Flash, and what I mean is make it so the movie will appear as if someone is drawing it in front of you. For example, in the attached image, the brown line would appear from left to right as if someone drew it. How would I go about doing that?

BTW I'm using Flash 8.

If so, its just a case of drawing or tracing out your image in flash, then by using the eraser tool delete tiny portions of the image and adding a key frame for each deletion, then once the image is completly deleted, select all the key frame then have them reversed, then add a stop action on its own layer ay the end of the animation then play.
