Loading in an empty MC

I feel like a dumb ***, but I've lost my code for loading an external swf file into my main movie which I want to appear inside an empty movie clip.

Please could someone help me out with this?

I'm trying to use the following:
onClipEvent (load) {
loadMovieNum("start_mc", container_mc);
}

But no joy

asuming your movie is called "start_mc" this should work out for you

loadMovie("start_mc",container_mc);
