Help with Portfolio (beginner stuff)

Hey All, I am in the process of setting up a photography portfolio for myself, and am a new guy when it comes to coding websites. What I am trying to accomplish is that when the user clicks on the little square button at the bottom, the image appears (centered) in the middle of the page. I have been able to accomplish this somwhat by using something from sites of the 1990's lol... an iFrame. However, I can't get the dang pic centered on the screen and its driving me nuts. Can anybody else help? I mean what I REALLY want is a sliding Flash or javascript menu at the bottom with thumb nails, but this is easier as I literally know nothing.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks, but can I specify the alignment of the images. My whole struggle to begin with was aligning them in the middle of the page/table.
