Removing BG

Hey guys, I need help removing a BG (see image below). I've never been good with this stuff, so if you could give me a detailed explanation on how to do it, and even give it a run through for me so if I have questions I can refer to it, it'd be very very much appreciated it. Thanks.

I tried that a couple times and it turned out pretty bad. All kinds of jaggies and what not.

well the fact that she is wearing pink and the background is pink makes things a bit more difficult. you can try making a layer with the outline of her (filled in of coarse; done with the pen tool) and then perform select->color range select all the pink (mess with the fuzziness to get the outlines right) and then unselect the girl outline area and cut...play with it...then maybe touch up with an eraser. you can really do it all with the eraser but it would be very time consuming. also outlining her body with the pen tool might work to an extent.
