What Relationship Age Difference Is Acceptable

What is the ideal age difference in a relationship? When you see someone married to someone else with 10 years difference between them do you find it creepy?

I thought it was (age/2) +7. Yours seems more reasonable, though.

And some people act way older or younger than they are, so in a lot of cases, age doesnt realy make a difference.

If you're bot above 18 (or whatever the age is where you live) and both are in on it, I personally don't think how it matters at all. They are concidered grown up enough to know what they are doing (which in many cases is doubtfull but whatever). What scociety thinks about it all is another story, that is also a case-to-case question anyway. And for that matter, who cares what nosey neighbours think?

Under 18 - I'd say about a 2 year difference really.

Incidentally, the age gap between my parents is around 14 years. I find it a bit creepy that my dad was 14 before my mam was even born, but it doesn't bother me too much.

I had a fifteen year old girlfriend when I was twenty-two. I really wouldn't advise it to anyone. That's long over, I'm twenty-eight now and my girlfriend of five years is twenty-three. It works well for us; wasn't always fun, but now we're comfortable with it.

Im sure it will change in the next few years, but right now, I find most girls even my own age immature and self centered. I cant even imagine what it would be like to date a 15 year old. Even 18 feels young to me right now, and Im only 21.

it doesnt matter what age. i fell in love @ 16 with a 13yr old girl. i had pressure on me because people kept telling me oh no thats statuatory rape and all this other bs...

so i ended up not going out with her.

time has gone by and i realize how much bullshit goes on in this world. i dont know whats wrong with a relationship no matter what the age difference, because a relationship does not have to include sex, at least until both are consenting age(different in diff states)

i could be 40 and a woman could be 20, and i would be with her if we loved each otehr.

people i knew were against my relationship decisions, because when i turn 18, she would have still been 15, and they said that's statuatory rape.

statutory rape is when 2 consentual people have sex, but one is under a consenting age, and therefore may not know the difference between right/wrong or yes/no.

I went to at least a couple dozen people, and 23/24 people mentioned statuory rape.

the other person who agreed with me was her.

i may have made the biggest msitake of my life by letting her go, but ive learned at least it doesnt matter what you look like, your background, or age, love can still happen.
