creatine
Hey I was wondering if any of you guys use creatine. I was thinking about starting to use it. I'm 15 years old and on the skinny side, and am hoping creatine will build my muscle mass and stuff. anyone use it or friends use it at all?

anything that offers results like that cant be good for you, it might not be scientifically proven yet, but it will be. Stick to the good old liftin weights and eating healthy foods.

I've heard it's bad for your kidneys and can flush lots of water into them...Or something along those lines...By the sounds of things you have a good body to build up on, especially young and skinny because you don't have any fat to work off, so just do weights and eat healthy. I put on a bit of muscle and all I did was 50 pushups and 100 crunches a night before I slept. But I'm not a physician (is that even how you spell it?) so don't really listen to me...Just steer clear of creatine, not good stuff

Is your body even done growing yet? You're 15 years old, by most people it's not recomended to attempt to grow musculare mass (besides the one your body appears to concider necesary for you) before you're done or about done growing. That goes for both natural and un-natural ways ofcourse.
I have nothing against Creatine itself though, but personally I prefer normal food and a nice workout. And I would never recomend a 15 year old to take any kind of prep no matter how many times it has been proven to be safe and extracted from what we concider normal things to put in our mouths. :P
Then again, I'm biased against preps. It's not because they are bad (not all are after all), I'm just afraid of such things and would never consume it myself.

alright thanks for your input. My friend who take creatine asked our sports injury guy or w.e and he said that it would be fine for our bodies. I think i'm going to look into a little bit more, but if i did end up doing it i would take a lot.

Creatine is baaadd. NOT good for your body. I use GNC Mega Isolate. Great stuff. A little on the expensive side, but it's Whey protein which is great for you. But you have to be LIFTING if you want full effects. Otherwise protein shakes just make you fat.

I eat lots of 2/3pound burgers from Hardees, and I move around lots of heavy things (around 40 reptiles and most have their own tank or large cage, that's a lot of lifting in a day). I'm 5'10" and 205 pounds just from lots of protein and an active lifestyle.
Dont' sweat it. Could just be that you're young and haven't filled out yet. I was skinny as hell until I was about twenty-three, then my shoulders started getting broad...I haven't grown an inch since I was 17 years old. Imagine the difference...22 years old, 5'10" and 135 pounds...and now 28 years old, 5'10" and 205 pounds...no protein shakes or weightlifting. Just give it time, mate.

I think people overestimate the amount of proteins you really need in order to grow muscle mass. It's not like your muscles are going to bulge instantaneously; as long as you're not vegetarian, a normal diet should be fine.

I'm 18, almost 6'1", and weigh only 96lbs. Colitis... Several months ago I was down to 84lbs.
