Layout/useability Critique

I am nearly finished with my project management app, and need some input on the layout. The design is based on the new Windows Live Mail design, which is nice and clean. I plan to have other color schemes eventually, but for now this will be the default. Anyway, you can check out the demo at http://workshop.randomdeveloper.com (username: demo, password: demo) and look around.

I'm really looking for comments as to the navigation and placement of different options. Should the horizontal menu be vertical instead? What about having the project menu and sidebar combined into a tree-view menu? Things like that.

It seems alright to me, although I think the blue should be a bit darker so as to better see where you are.

Seriously check out basecamphq.com - it seems that you are trying to write precisely what this company has already done. If nothing else you can see how some of their features are put together. Let me know if this helps.

Amazing how my post is pretty much ignored while the site works, but as soon as it breaks, BAM! Comments...

I moved my test site to a different domain, so that one got fragged. Anyway, I'm not worried about it anymore, thanks for trying, though.

Same for me, work perfectly and when the server slow the comments appear.
