Hey, i'm working on this concept for my portfolio/web design site. It's still got a few bugs to work out but this is what i've got so far, just wanted to see what you all think.

The arrow has a gray background. At least, that's how it's showing up for me.

i really like the idea of the design, but i'm just not to keen on the colour scheme...

also, maybe ending the page after the copyright info?

Well, i made that gradient fade to the background color because if i view it from a higher resolution than 1024X768, then theres this big huge blank space below it. Plus, i might be using that space for other stuff later on, so i'd like to have as much updateable room as i can get.

the arrow has a grey background for me as well. the other things i noticed was that the gradient above "web design" is a little long. i think it would look better if it were about the same size as the gradient above "site news". also, the green background/borders around the two buttons labeled "contact us" and "get free quote" stand out over your logo background image. other than that i like it. it's a good clean design and a nice color scheme.

Looks pretty good, but very TemplateMonsteresque. Not as if that matters for business reasons anyways though.

ya i've always liked that look for some reason, even though its ultra trendy. But i think it works for my clients because they tend to range from my age to 55+, so I tried to keep things familiar and as simple as possible.
