Work in Progress: Graphical Band Website
Alright, so some of my friends have a band and me being the computer nerd and with some good html experience and all said I'd do it for them. The thing is, though, that I have only really done business type websites that are more about content and the structure of it all. Doing a band website, you need to have it more graphical, which is completely different. So here I've come up with a concept that was kind of planned to be done in flash, but I'm not proficient enough in flash to really attempt it and I need to get this up for them quick.
Anyway, let me explain the design concept... So the theme is underwater, but with animals that don't quite belong underwater. I'll add mouse-over's to the images of the animals so when you have your cursor over it, they will have their own weird action. Example would be that I'm going to add a little talking bubble to the horse that will say "LOL!!11" and so on. I then have the room for content on the right side with a scrollbar that seems to be the regular scrollbar for the page, but only moves the content. The visitors will just click on the animals and then the content on the right will only change.
Right now, I have a VERY VERY rough work in progress type page going, but I desperately need some advice on little things to add and what overall to change. Here's the link: http://conceptualmind.com/michael/CMBC/
Note that the positioning, sizing, of the animals and background bubbles is not completely and that I still need to clean up the coral a bit.
Thanks,
Michael
