Have a few questions

Hello Wink I was wondering if anyone could help me...

Firstly, I was wondering if there are any tutorials how to make a notebook using Adobe Photoshop like this one:

Secondly, I wonder if its possible to make a picture look like chrome
(in the way this text looks):

and lastly, how can I install the fonts i have downloaded to adobe photoshop?

I would really appreciate if anyone could answer any of my questions, thankyou Smile

well, the first two are basic tutorials that you can find anywhere on any photoshop tutorial website. i would suggest searching Google for photoshop tutorials, or even "notebook tutorial for Photoshop" or something of that sort.

they wouldn't be terribly hard to create. the Chrome would be some Blending Options experimentations (right click the text layer, click Blending Options. most of the text effects you'll see, are made from here)

sorry that i can't give you a direct answer or a direct link. i'm not the best at finding tutorials for people, and i'm pretty lazy.

but, any font installed on your system (installed to Windows > Fonts) will automatically load into Photoshop the next time you open it. it might be at the bottom of the list of fonts, but it should be alphabatized.

I made the notebook in just a couple of minutes with no tutorial. Here is my end result.

Drag out a white rounded rectangle for the paper. For the holes, make a circular selection and then fill it with a radial gradient. Blur those by about 1px.
For the spirals, make a small rectangular selection. Go to your gradient presets, coose metals, and pick the one called silver. Just fill the selection with that. You may have to try until you get it like you want it. After that, I made a 1px black line on a new layer, set the blend mode to multiply and reduced the fill opacity a bit. The blue lines are pretty self-explanatory Smile

As for your chrome text, http://www.thewebmachine.com has a few nice chrome tutorials in the type section.

Hope that helps and good luck.
