I checked out Neutral Milk Hotel. Not too impressed really - I was going to question what I thought was the bad quality of the tracks until I read the post about it being intentional. It's quite an odd thing to do, but if you enjoy it - just not my thing I guess.

Well i associate emo kids with death etc, considering you have a pair of scissors next to a heart in your avatar and you name is ill eat your heart out, its quite misleading for some. Unless your a gothic of some sort, not saying i have anything against either :)

I just found The Beautiful Girls, good stuff. Similarly, Slightly Stoopid are good too. Oh, and how could I forget Dispatch and Pinback.
