gas prices just shot up $.30 a gallon here because of what's happening down there. I hope and pray for everyone.

wow...rain...id take rain any day over what these folks just went through.
it was stated it was a level 5 a couple of days prior, no prediction in that.
over 1000 dead found already just in New Orleans.

CNN covers it pretty much non stop.

there will be hell to pay to stations that are price gouging over 6.00us after the release of the reserves. cameras can be a wonderful thing.

For sure. There was a thing about that on our local news (San Antonio, Texas). There's a law that basically says that if you feel like a gas station is trying to profit from tragedy (i.e. selling their gas for $6/gallon), you can contact the Attorney General to have it looked into.

I can't believe all the people trying to profit from this horrific tragedy. Not only oil/gasoline companies, but looters too. I could understand looting a grocery store because you're hungry, but the things I've heard.. you wonder what kind of person could do that.
