extra 4 pin connector for psu
I got shown a power supply with 2 4 pin (yellow and black wires) connectors. one next to the orginal 20 pin connector and one completely seperate. I was told they are different and that my mobo needed the one next to the 20 pin connector but my power supply does have one but am not sure if it's the right one

guess what thats what i was told but it turn out that I cant use one because the extra 4 pin is seperare. It uses the square 4 pin connector (not the molex the yellow and black one). Anyways thanks guys I sorted it out myself.

There are PSUs that have a 4 pin connector that slides onto the 20 pin connector. This is for backwards compatibility for 'other' motherboards and the new P4 motherboards that require 24 pins.
