The Wonder Years Online

This is just a site design, not an active site, but I am looking for critique.

Opinions please.

Ok.
The sidebar is okay, my only problem is the faded gradient thing you have going between the title and the links.
Other than that, not much else is wrong with the layout and I could say that it's usable EXCEPT:
The Header.
It's so distracting that even if the body of the layout were horrible, the header would still draw my attention. The colors clash a lot, the contrast of the family and the background are pretty bad, the roll of film looks sorta cheaply. The navbar at the top feels unnessesary to me because they just mirror the side links, and the beveled effect doesn't really work with the 'clean' look of the rest of the page.
You may want to look into making your CSS an external file. It's a bit pointless if you want to change something across your site and you have to change every HTML file because your CSS is embeded in the head.
My only major complaint being the header, I'd say nice start and keep at it, and it'll do just fine.

Mm I think you should calm down on the shiny bevels and embosses and stuff. Way shiny. Is there a better source picture for hte header (as acidphreak stated). It's kind of distracting, and the quality of the picture is kind of fuzzy and too coloured. Maybe your little navigation bar could use a facelift too. Under "The Wonder Years" in catchier font and style on the film, it looks kind of quick and dirty.
