Something simple..

I'm slapping up a small website which is basically centred around the sole concept of distributing my various opinions and tidbits on the gaming scene, and I've put together a simple layout which is basically all about looking appealing without requiring much loading, with the images totalling at around 100kb -- both to preserve my bandwidth, and allow people to spend more downloading the many gaming images which will be posted on there within the design!

http://www.teamkilled.net/index2.php

All I ask of you dear fellows is to point out anything which looks blatantly wrong, out of place, or could generally be slightly improved. It's a must that I don't increase the image usage much, so I'm trying to stick to the minimal use of imagery. Is it easy to read? Does the navigation seem nice and seperated? Would you enjoy returning to this design regularly?

The one place where imagery is used is in the big teaser image, currently a screenshot of Black and White 2, which will change depending on the latest feature. I am planning to put some subtle text on there to tell you what it actually is, so just try and pretend that's there for now. Anyway, fire away people.

Whats with the big green space in the middle between the top image and the text?

@philcloh2o: The big green space is there because Thrik has given a height of 100% to his first table-data. Seems like he doesn't like an empty space and the bottom of his website. Wink

Apart from the empty Space: I like the colors you used and the shadows are really nice.

Man, green space? Can you take a screenshot of it for me, please? The black should stretch all the way down to the bottom, though I was having a problem last night with one CSS element where giving it a 100% height would result in the background image showing through, which is in fact the green space. I'm assuming that one's returned to bite me in the bum. Sad

Edit: Nevermind! It seems that the problem only forms, at least for me, when the resolution is above 1024x768. I'll iron that little pesky out now, and thanks, since I wouldn't have noticed it myself. D:

is it normal that your left and right border have a green pixel every 15px or so?

I love it, nice and simple, easy to use =)
Although i think the green space might look better if u reduce it by half?

Well then, I would loose those. But that's a personal preference.
