Need help blurring faces

I am making a DVD cover for my friend (about 65% complete) but I've stopped because I am having problems with the faces. I spent about 20 minutes cutting these 2 men out, their hair was hard but I managed it.

Their faces are all bitty, I can get rid of some of this using the blur tool but I am having trouble near their mouths, nose and eyes. The blur just ruins the face.

Could someone help me please? Here is the image... (btw I know this isnt actual dvd size, but it fits my friends specially designed DVD cases fine)

How are you "cutting" the faces out?

What do you mean? I got the 2 men from a picture and I cut them out using the polygonal lassos tool. I then transferred them over to my DVD cover.

I dont want to cut the faces out, I am happy with them but the faces have all bits in it. Here is a zoom of the faces...

Ah, so that's what you mean by bitty.

Most of the time, stuff like this is really hard to undo. You could, however, try using the eyedropper tool to get a sample of the colour of the skin, then brush over it with a small brush with a bit of opacity taken away. It'd take a while, though, and you'd have to zoom in really closely and be very precise.

Using the clone stamp tool seems like it might take forever.

Could you possibly start with a better picture of the two guys? As in, one that has a better resolution, one that doesn't have the halftone pattern on it? Otherwise, Nimativ's suggestion is going to be your best bet. You might check to see if these guys have a fan site, since they were the kings of Saturday night ratings for a while.

Damn Sad I was really hoping for an easy way out.

These are the best pictures I can find, there are other pictures of them but they are very old or not suitable for the front cover of the DVD.

Sad I will try and fix this but I dont think I can.
