Making animated .GIFs from an AVI file?

I wanted to know if it's possible, I wanted to make a GIF of a big hit from a recording of a football game... Thanks!

If you have adobe imageready, you can just open the folder with the .avi file and drag it into imageready and click a few options.

are you allowed to have 3 images in the sig? i thought it was just 1 at 15kb
yours is "22.63 KB (23175 bytes)"

i do it all the time. i just open it up in animationshop and cut the frames i want. easy stuff
