not much of an update, just trying new ways to do the mats and lighting. its my 500th test render and i really want to improve it :/

on top of using a hdri,

position an omni light somewhere on the side, very weak and blue, and a direct spotlight pointing at the car, again a bit weak, from above and front of the car.
